Learn why Personal Fitness Coaching is Better
What is your Training Philosophy?
At ASAP Fitness, we train using a full-body approach tailored to our clients’ abilities and goals. Individual training programs are customized to each client based on mobility, flexibility, and stability assessments and a movement screening. These establish your health and fitness baselines.
The first couple of sessions are dedicated to building your fitness foundation. We develop functional movements and introduce you to the training circuit. Once you learn our terminology and proper execution of the movements, we’ll keep progressing and challenging you.
What do WE do at THE initial consultation?
This is our first opportunity to get to know each other. You’ll check out the facility and meet the coaching staff. We’ll discuss your health and fitness history, nutritional habits, and establish some short and long-term goals. At the end of the consultation, we’ll outline a plan to help you reach your health and fitness goals, no matter your current fitness level.
What can I expect at my first training session?
Your first session starts with a series of health and fitness assessments followed by a taste of the workout experience mixing in some of the baseline movements from the screening. We wrap up with a metabolic finisher to get your heart pumping. We log every workout: weights, reps, notes, so each session is a planned progressive workout at exactly the right level to safely challenge and consistently build on your progress.
At your second session, you’ll come in 10 minutes early for a warm up, a little bit of mobility work and then you’ll get started on your individualized training program with your Personal Fitness Coach.
What types of health and fitness assessments do you perform?
Biometrics: We take weight, body fat, BMI, lean muscle mass/fat measurements and explain the numbers.
Physical Assessments: We guide you through several stability, mobility and flexibility tests.
Movement Screening: We evaluate your squat patterns, hip hinge, pushing/pulling ability, core strength to determine your foundational movement patterns.
What is a circuit?
Circuit training balances different types of kinetic movements depending on the client’s health and fitness goals. For example, calorie-burning and weight loss training incorporates a combination of cardio and strength compared to strength training that consists of compound movements that build more strength and muscle. We train our clients in a full-body circuit based on the results of their assessments and progress. Your Personal Fitness Coach instructs as you go, explaining the purpose and proper execution of each exercise.
Why do you HAVE Personal Fitness Coaches instead of Personal Trainers?
Personal trainers tell you what to do, count reps and use a stopwatch. Our Personal Fitness Coaches provide the necessary instruction to perform each exercise effectively and safely. They demonstrate and guide you through each movement, directing you on proper foot placement, posture, breathing and overall execution of the movement. Performing the movement correctly is more effective and protects against injuries.
Why is Personal Fitness Coaching better?
We have extremely high expectations of our coaches. All coaches must have certifications in fitness disciplines, with most holding related bachelor’s or associate’s degrees. Our coaches are very dedicated to their own fitness journey and passionate about coaching others toward their personal fitness goals. ASAP’s two-stage coach development program trains them in our Training Philosophy, which ensures that each of our coaches delivers a consistently excellent coaching experience.
Personal Fitness Coaching sessions are $70. The cost of the training session includes towel service, bottled water, and individualized program development. On average, our clients train twice a week. Multi-session training packages are available at a discount per session.
How much is a training session?
Do you require a membership commitment?
We do not require a membership. The only commitment required at ASAP Fitness is a commitment to your personal health and fitness goals.
On average, we recommend that our clients train twice per week. Depending on your specific goals, you may consider an extra weekly session to accelerate your progress.
